Tahoe with friends: Nov 28 - Nov 30
New Mexico with Gary: Dec 6 - Dec 9
And you all should buy tickets and attend the Justin McRoberts McChristmas Benefit Concert: Dec 13
The dude is amazing, his lyrics are rockin, and I’d assume the concert benefits Compassion International, who Justin strongly supports.
It’s almost snow time!!!!! Woot!

My truck has been needing a larger alternator since the beginning of time. I’ve got the fuse holders and distro blocks all in place for my electronics, so now I’m starting to work on the source of power for all the toys and lights. I still need to order a couple dry-cell batteries and an isolator and switch, but at least I now have the ability to mount a GM alternator to my 22re and make more than 60 amps.
Purchased from Aaronn on yotatech.
This arrived today…

Went out with Jimmy and Amanda to shoot some star trails. The fog made it REALLY hard to find a half-decent spot to setup. But at least the guitar and jambe came out while we were waiting.

Wow. What an honor to get to see a 136 year old piece of machinery fire up and pump light miles out into the open ocean. It was breathtaking.
The photos don’t do it justice.

Tonight was the Diablo Valley Young Life Benefit Dinner. I forgot how much I missed YL!!! Lots of fun, friendly faces. Including one or two you might recognize. More tomorrow if I find post-worthy marterial.

Monday’s are my solo-steve-venture days, but today Landon joined me. I hit up the Legion of Honor… to find out it’s closed. So I headed down to Fort Point…. to find out it’s closed. Then I headed on over to the Marin Headlands and explored the ruins because I knew they were open. Then I cruised up the coast, headed inland, took many backroads through curvy mountain roads and rolling farmland. Nice relaxing time!

CERT: http://www.citizencorps.gov/cert/
It’s cool. It’s a program I can support. I’m thinking about teaching it. It’s basically common sense for an emergency with some first-aid mixed in.

On November 15, 1872, the Fresnel lens at Pigeon Point Lighthouse blasted its first beam into the sunset. The fixture is perched 115 feet in the air, and weighs 8,000 pounds.
One hundred and thirty six years later, this tradition of lighting the Fresnel still exists, even though the lighthouse has been converted to an electric Aero Beacon for everyday use.
Saturday, Nov. 15 at dusk they will light the fresnel.
Anyone want to join me?

have been there for the lighting of the Fresnel)

Thank God the election is over.
The U.S. has voted and it looks like our 44th President of the United States is a man who, forty three years ago, could not have set foot in a voting booth. That’s kinda cool all in itself.
Obama, I hope that you stand up for all the people of this country. I hope you handle our troops overseas with wisdom. I hope you defend our constitutional rights. God bless you sir.
Home of the free, because of the brave.
One nation under God.
